In the System 7.5.2 Software CD, Version 1.0, for the 7200/75 and 7200/90 (the CD that you use to reinstall the system software), there is a QuickTime movie of the 7200 testing team in Ireland. It is an invisible file called "7200 QCRM Movie". The path is Apple Extras/QuickTime Extras/Movies /Photos/7200 QCRM Movie.
Since it is invisible, you need to copy the Photos folder to your hard drive, and then used ResEdit to make the file,"7200 QCRM Movie", visible by Getting Info. on it; or you can open MoviePlayer or SimplePlayer first and then open the file from the application.

In the MacAdvocate CD - Spring 1997 from Apple, there is a file named "`Carnage!" with it's icon being a pair of sunglasses. It is a sound file. It will play a compilation of all of the sad mac sounds (death chimes) from the Mac 128k, all the way through the newest PowerMacs. In the Performa CD that comes with Performa 6100's and has system 7.5 on it, the file in the Restore All Software folder, called Data File 46, is actually a folder. It is the system folder used by the Performa CD. It contains, along with the system software and an invisible System, a folder with a blank icon titled with something that looks like a phone number: "694-0330".
Ô£øIn the last release of this file, I suggested the folder's name may be a phone number. I was way off. This is the real explanation of the number from Doug Drudik (ddrudik@inetnebr.com):
All software configurations are given a number in the format of XXX-XXXX by Apple, and represent the pre-loaded software configuration for a certain series of Macs. Apple Authorized Service Providers can subscribe to CD-ROMS of these configurations called Restoration CD's, which are used to restore a customer's system software to the exact configuration that came with the Mac from the factory. The XXX-XXXX is Apple Service's format for all of their part numbers (except for a few older part numbers in the format of XXX-XXXXX).
System 7.1 AV CD-ROM
Code Names: Quadra 660AV was Tempest and Quadra 840AV was Quadra 1000 and Cyclone
There is an invisible QuickTime movie, “Our Gang!”, inside the Preferences Folder, inside the System Folder, inside the disk “Macintosh CD-Install Me First” that came with my 840AV and the 660AV; and has system 7.1 in it. It may also come with other computers, but I am not sure. The CD has a 5 minute home-made video by one of the programmers at Apple.

Parade
The coolest one, by far, was the parade hidden on the CD containing
version 7.0a9. All I can offer are some still shots from the storyboard... It worked something like this: an alert came up when you booted the software. This alert had a bunch of legalese about no warranty and pre-release software, and you had to dismiss it to continue the booting process. But if you left the alert alone for ten minutes, then the parade would start. It began by having an animated band leader push the text of the alert out of the way. Then a curtain would come down behind him as the music started to play (a 1954 recording of Kid Ory's Creole Good Time Jazz Band performing When the Saints Go Marching In). Across the screen marched an assortment of circus performers carrying a banner. The banner had a lot of text about the people on the project. Sheila Brady was the main artist on the parade. Not A Parade
Version 7.0a12 also went out on a CD, and we didn't take the time to make something as cool as the parade. I just couldn't bear to put nothing at all in its place, though. One of the things developers would do is use MacsBug to defeat the 10 minute time delay on the a9 parade. I thought this was cheating, so I made it extra hard (i.e impossible) to defeat the time delay on the secret boot-time Easter Egg in 7.0a12. After 7 minutes of waiting (I thought 7 minutes was far more appropriate than 10 minutes...) a still shot came on the screen. No music, no animation. It was really lame compared to the parade, but I thought it was way better than nothing. Sheila Brady was the main artist on the non-parade. This picture is shown at 50% of the actual size...
